Why there is no accept-or-reject button
Consent is for things that are not strictly necessary — analytics, advertising, anything that follows you. Both entries above are functional, contain no identifier and are never read by anyone but your own browser, so there is nothing here to consent to.
A banner that asks permission for nothing, and refuses to go away until you grant it, is theatre. If we ever add something that does need consent, this page changes and you get a real choice, with a working refuse.
What is not here
No Google Analytics or any other analytics. No advertising or retargeting tags. No Facebook, LinkedIn or TikTok pixel. No A/B testing tool. No session recording. No fingerprinting. No cross-site tracking of any kind.
One thing that is not a cookie but is worth saying
The typefaces are served from goudbeek.com itself, so opening a page does not send your IP address to a font service such as Google Fonts. It is worth saying because a cookie banner would not cover it: fetching a font is a request, not storage.
Getting rid of them
Clear this site's data in your browser and both entries are gone. Nothing breaks — you just pick your language again the next time you visit.
